am sure u know the 3 special steps *sounds like special agent oso!!* that must be taken daily for facial treatment rite? its cleanse, tone & moisturize. but how depth u actually knows about the important of toner?

i also forget about the important that makes me bought my SK-II toner and never use it for a year. then i realised "owh what a waste.." only then i started to use it. but.... only for few weeks and my malas spooky angle told me not to continue. there i was!! left it for years. one day i realised that i felt my face has not enuff moisture esp being in the aircond condition almost every hours. i went down to dermalogica for them to examine. not satisfy with the answer, i went to my fav SK-II beautician. yup its true!! via 2 different test examined by both expert beautician, they told me that my face actually has perfect moisture level. the condition is good. but my keratin level is high!!!! OMG~~~ shooooooot!!!! how come meh?? karen told me that i must be leaving toner step. i admit!!!

types of toners

Skin bracers or fresheners

These are the mildest form of toners; they contain virtually no alcohol (0-10%), water, and a humectant such as glycerine. Humectants help to keep the moisture in the upper layers of the epidermis by preventing it from evaporating. A popular example of this is rosewater.
These toners are the kindest to skin, and are most suitable for use on dry, dehydrated, sensitive and normal skins. It may give a burning sensation to sensitive skin.

Skin tonics

These are slightly stronger and contain a small quantity of alcohol (up to 20%), water and a humectant ingredient. Orange flower water is an example of a skin tonic. Skin tonics are suitable for use on normal, combination, and oily skin.

These are the strongest form of toner and contain a high proportion of alcohol (20-60%), antiseptic ingredients, water, and a humectant ingredient. These are commonly recommended for oily skins as they are drying, but note that the removal of oil from the skin can lead to excess oil production as the skin tries to compensate for this and prevent moisture loss. Witch hazel is an example of an astringent. To prevent dehydration, astringent is best applied only to problem areas of skin, such as spots.

so peeps... thats why experts says that its better to buy product once prescribe by beautician, not just buying it over the counter!! yes.. sounds expensive rite? it is expensive laaaa esp the high range nye tu kan..~~ so what u can do before buying product @ watson, guardian or any counter? go to the high end product, ask the beautician to describe ur facial condition, get their hint what is the best way to control. for sure they will recommend you their  expensive product rite?? ask them the main ingredient in their product that helps to improve your examined facial condition just now. got it? u dont have to use their product but rather u cant get it over the counter with the similar content~~

good luck peeps!!
